Before you start
Practical answers for your first plush project.
Initial artwork review is free. Physical samples are paid work. Here is how the decisions fit together.
Is the first character review free?
Yes. The initial review of your artwork and project direction is free. A physical development sample is paid work, with its scope and fee agreed separately before sampling starts. Sending an inquiry does not place an order or commit you to production.
Who will handle my project?
Kinhatch is your point of contact for project communication and development coordination in Yangzhou, China. We work with local production partners on sampling and production. You share your character priorities with Kinhatch, and we coordinate the questions, sample feedback and proposed next steps with the relevant partner.
Can I begin with just one sample?
You can ask for a single paid development sample before deciding whether to produce a batch. We first review whether the character and construction are suitable. Sampling does not commit you to a later production order.
Can we discuss a production budget before I pay for a sample?
Yes. Tell us your intended quantity and budget during the initial review so we can discuss the production approach before you decide on paid sampling. Any early estimate is subject to the design assumptions and is not a final production quote. A confirmed batch price depends on the agreed sample, specification, quantity, packaging and shipping arrangement.
What will the sample proposal explain?
The proposal sets out the intended size, main materials, included features, sample fee, revision boundary, estimated sampling window and shipping arrangement. We explain the included work and any separately charged items before you decide whether to proceed. There is no single sample price that fits every character.
What is the minimum production quantity?
Production quantities are assessed for the specific design, size, materials and construction. The quantity ranges in our form help us understand your plan; they are not a promise of a particular minimum order. You can choose “Not sure yet” and discuss a suitable starting point with us.
How long do sampling and production take?
They have separate schedules. Complexity, material availability, the production queue, feedback and shipping all affect timing. We provide an estimated sampling window in the proposal and assess production timing separately. Share a launch date early so we can discuss whether the plan is realistic before you commit.
How are sample changes handled?
We agree the sample scope and revision boundary before paid work starts. Feedback is checked against those agreed priorities. A new outfit, added feature or major proportion change may need a new scope or fee; changes are not treated as automatically unlimited.
How will I review a sample?
The review should cover the character’s expression, silhouette, proportions, size, important details and any accessories. Photo views, measurements, video requirements and whether a physical sample will be shipped are agreed as part of the sample scope. Batch production requires a separate agreement on the approved product and production terms.
How are shipping and additional costs handled?
Tell us the destination country when you know it. The quotation explains the relevant packaging, shipping arrangement and what is included or excluded. Do not assume that freight, import duties or local taxes are included unless stated. This website does not operate a fan preorder campaign or automatically ship individual orders to your fans.
Do I need a finished technical sheet?
No. A clear image, sketch or accessible artwork link and a short description are enough to begin the free review. We can ask for a back view, key dimensions or other details when they become useful. Your submission is private project material, not automatic permission for public display.
Have a question before sharing your artwork?
Email hello@kinhatch.com. You do not need to complete the project form just to ask a question.
